Synopsis: Denzel is back and almost in black as he plays, Doug Carlin, the lead detective for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tabacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF). Then Agent Pryzwarra, Val Kilmer, recruits Carlin to work in a special unit to investigate this case. An indeed this unit is special. It's special in that it uses a device which can see anywhere in the past, exactly 4 days, 12 hours ago into the past. Now, with the aid of this new machine and new a new team, Carlin sets out of apprehend the terrorist all the while learning that a man can't change his destiny, or can he?
Should You Watch It? With any sort of movie which requires time travel and stuff it's easy to get confused as many parts in the beginning don't add up until the end. If you can just be patient with this film and wait until after the mid point, then you will be pleasently surprised at how well this story is written. With a movie like this, it's easy to fall into the many traps of plot holes filled in last minute style with cheap tricks. But Bill Marsilii and Terry Rossio, the writers, really worked at this script making it as air tight as possible at the same time adding in plenty of thrilling sequences and action packed explosions to make it worthy of Jerry Bruckheimer Films.
Things to Watch Out For: In order to stay with this movie, you wil lhave to be very observant. While the movie does a good job in filling you in and pointing out obvious points of interest, it is still up to the audience to participate and get the most out of the film. There is a bit of over acting on Denzel's part but I guess that's expected haha.
Things You Don't Expect: This movie is pretty philisophical as it deals with the issue of destiny and god and such. It's only a minor part in the film and it does tie in nicely but it does slow down the film near the second turning point, but that's really a minor issue. I don't mind it and I'm sure many others don't neither but for some action buffs they might get bored with this break from action.
